Cosmetic colorants innovation

Innova Market Insights data suggests cosmetic colorants are rising globally, growing at 7% yearly between July 2021 and June 2023. Face/Body Cosmetics took the lead at 39% in launches featuring these colorants from July 2022 to June 2023. Meanwhile, titanium dioxide was the star ingredient (92%).

Barentz India strengthens foothold in personal care through Radian acquisition

Barentz International acquires Radian Chemical Products to boost its presence in the fast-growing Indian market. The global life science ingredients distributor believes the move will cement its position as a key player in the color cosmetics and personal care sectors while Radian says the collaboration will strengthen and expand its operations in the country.

Sally Hansen of Coty introduces Salon Effects Nail Accents — a wearable accessories collection. The company, founded in 1946, says this is its first foray into decals. The brand has also expanded its widely acclaimed Salon Effects Perfect Manicure line with six “chic” shades. Check them out here.
