In industry news last week, FMCG giant Johnson & Johnson reportedly reached a US$700 million deal with several US states to settle a long-standing talc powder probe.


Consumer products maker, Procter & Gamble (P&G), declared another dividend ahead of its quarterly earnings release next week, while a company it founded in 1886 — St. Bernard Soap — said it would shut down after losing P&G as a client.

Godrej Consumer Products blamed hyperinflation in the LATAM region for a “flattish to mild decline” in volume growth in its latest quarter.

Givaudan launched PrimalHyal 50 Life, a “groundbreaking leap” in producing sustainable hyaluronic acid (HA). Mathias Fleury, head of Category, Actives for Givaudan Active Beauty, told Personal Care Insights how the company’s team of scientists completely reinvented the fermentation process to make the ingredient “the most” sustainable low-molecular-weight HA in Givaudan’s portfolio.
